Close to home – Bembridge

  • With its three popular beaches, Bembridge has plenty of rock pools to explore and stunning panoramic views out to sea. Best walks to be found at low tide.
  • A visit to Bembridge Lifeboat Station certainly provides the ‘wow’ factor. From their magnificent Tamar Class All-weather and D-class inshore boats, to the fabulous architecture of the offshore boathouse and the stunning views from the boathouse windows, there is plenty to interest visitors of all ages. Watch their training launches from inside the boathouse – quite a spectacle!
  • Bembridge has an active harbour and is a popular destination for sailing and water sport activities. Hire a RIB or be taken on a trip around the island. Why not try out some of the activities such as dinghy sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, or even SUP yoga.
  • Why not visit the local independent shops and eateries. Plenty to choose from and if you like freshly caught fish you will not be disappointed.
  • If you like traditional pubs then there are a number in Bembridge with two just a very short walk from the house.
  • Bembridge Windmill – The only surviving windmill on the Isle of Wight.
  • Hike up Culver Down – for an amazing view over Bembridge and surrounding villages why not take a walk along one of the many trails – we would recommend a hike up to Culver Battery and the Culver Haven Inn Pub also awaits for a spot of lunch or a drink!
  • Horse riding on Bembridge beach – free hats and boots supplied!
